Pottery Classes
Location: Ridgecrest, CA Pottery Studio
The pottery classes are for beginners to advanced and are available on a first come first served basis. Due to the size of the studio I can serve only 6 students at a time. The price is $150.00 plus $20.00 for pottery tools, if students don't have them, and are theirs to keep. The price includes clay, glazes, 2-3 firings and all the supplies and equipment that is available for the students to use.
The students may make anything that they choose, we learn to throw on a potters wheel, do slab-work and any other hand building methods that the student wants to learn
The last night we will do a Raku firing and wine party. it's a fun night and a nice finale to the class. By that time we are all fast friends and have a common bond. CLAY.
I'm offering two classes in the fall, one on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 9pm and one on Wednesday evenings also from 6:30 to 9pm. If there are not enough students to fill both classes I will combine them on Tuesdays.

Open Studio Tour-2008 Museum Art Show
Location: Maturango Museum, Ridgecrest, CA.
Event Dates: 10/11/2008 - 11/12/2008
Reception: 10/10/2008 • 7pm - 9pm
The Museum show will consist of one art piece from each artist participating in the Open Studio Tour, 2008. The show will be at Maturango Museum, 100 E. Las Flores Ave. Ridgecrest, CA. There are 24 artists and will be showing in 19 studios during the Open Studio Tour weekend, Oct. 25, 26, 2008.

Open Art Studio Tour-2008 & Show

The Open Studio Tour, 08 includes 24 artists showing in 19 studios in Ridgecrest, CA
The show starts October 14 thru November 7, 2007. The tour will be on October 27 & 28. Many of the artists will be demonstrating their art techniques or have someone there to show the visitors how the artist works.

Santa's Art Shop
Location: Desert Empire Fairgrounds, Ridgecrest, CA

Hundreds of artists participate in this annual two day show. Lois has been a participant since it started. Artists from all over California come here to set up and show their work. It has been going since 1977.
